OSEIA Meets with Governor Kate Brown

On Tuesday July 19th, through our newly formed Oregon SolarPAC, OSEIA met with Oregon's Governor Kate Brown to discuss the importance of clean energy, especially solar energy. Joined by a consortium of renewable energy stakeholders at the Vestas offices in NW Portland, the solar industry comprised of at least 30% of all those in attendance.

OSEIA board president Laurie Hutchinson noted, "I was so impressed with the amount of people who turned out in support of a clean energy future." Laurie went on to add, "Jeff made it very clear how and when to approach the Governor and she was all ears as I explained the importance of solar from DG to utility scale projects. It was clear to all of us that Gov. Brown was listening to what we were saying and deepening her understanding of the issues we face."
