Call for Solar Technical Instructors
Position: Solar Electric (PV) Technical Training Instructor - Oregon

The Oregon Solar Energy Industry Association (OSEIA) is seeking a highly organized individual with a professional demeanor and dynamic presentation skills to help deliver our existing courses and develop new courses including, but not exclusive to the following content:
Solar PV Systems & Energy Trust of Oregon’s Installation Requirements
Solar PV Operations & Maintenance
Solar PV Systems and the NEC (Article 690)
Scope of the Position
The Training Instructor is responsible for delivering and/or developing the courses to be delivered in various locations throughout Oregon, the schedule will be provided. OSEIA will be offering up to 16 courses throughout Oregon through June 2020 and will use multiple instructors to deliver content. Courses are typically delivered on Thursdays or Fridays and range between 2 - 8 hours of class time beginning at 8:00am with a 1-hour break for lunch. The courses are delivered in a classroom setting. Course syllabus, powerpoint and course outline will be provided for existing courses.
The instructor will work with Program Director to schedule courses in various locations however, instructor will be in charge of room and AV setup on day of course. Instructor is expected to provide their own laptop and be comfortable connecting laptop to all the different projectors and monitors that the venue may provide. Must have access to printer for course materials and rosters.

Salary: Subject to experience + travel reimbursement

Preferred Qualifications:
Has a laptop for presenting (required)
Familiar with Powerpoint (.ppt) to make updates and deliver presentation
NABCEP certificate holder, preferred
Intimate knowledge of NEC, Article 690, preferred
Prior teaching experience
Ability to travel around the state
Able to collect and return attendance documentation
Oregon BCD approved instructor or the ability to become approved
