We're hiring! Policy and Regulatory Affairs Director

Do you get excited by energy regulation? Would you like to put your legal and/or technical skills toward the clean energy transition? Oregon Solar + Storage Industries Association (OSSIA) and the Oregon Solar Energy Education Fund (OSEEF) are hiring a Policy and Regulatory Affairs Director to lead our energy regulatory work at the Oregon Public Utility Commission and other state and local agencies.

The solar industry is growing as Oregonians seek to create their own clean energy to reduce pollution and make communities more resilient. OSSIA is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Policy and Regulatory Affairs Director with experience in the energy regulatory space and knowledge in utility scale solar and distributed generation technical and regulatory issues. The core of the position is increase access to solar and decrease barriers to solar growth in Oregon.

OSSIA and OSEEF are small but mighty organizations.  Staff and volunteer Boards of Directors support each other and work collaboratively to advance our goals, including our goal to diversify the industry in an inclusive and equitable way.  We celebrate our successes and navigate our challenges together.  Over the past few years we have held record-breaking industry conferences, passed critical solar legislation, and created a new solar workforce training with a local pre-apprenticeship program.

 As a strong candidate you will enjoy working with an equity lens through the legal and technical aspects of regulatory affairs. You will be detail-oriented, able to multi-task and work independently.
