OSEIA looks forward to a strong 2019
OSEIA is starting the year off strong. While the board passed a conservative budget for the year, we have already exceeded projections in some areas and are on track to meet projections in other areas. Our policy efforts are starting out strong in the Oregon Legislature, with the Solar Rebate bill having bi-partisan sponsors in both chambers and conversations moving forward on updating the 1.5% green energy technology policy. Land-use policy presents challenges this year but OSEIA is joining forces with Renewable Northwest to propose innovative solutions.
OSEIA plans to start a new arm of our organization this year, a tax-deductible 501c3 organization that will focus on policy and workforce development. Diversifying our funding sources will allow us to explore new options to support Oregon’s solar industry.
